Locum Children’s Occupational Therapist Isle of Man (Paediatric SEN)
Position: Locum Band 7 (Locum – ongoing; ASAP start)
Location: Isle of Man
Hours: Up to 37.5 hrs/week; full-time; varied settings – schools, specialist units, community clinics, home visits
Pay: £46 - £48 per hour
Accommodation: – Will be available locally but will need to be covered by the locum
Role Overview & Responsibilities
* Provide comprehensive OT assessment and interventions for school-age children with physical, learning, and SEN needs.
* Support children in mainstream schools, specialist provision centres, clinics, and at home.
* Work within an integrated Allied Health Professionals (AHP) team—Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, SLTs.
* Collaborate with educators, families, and community services to deliver tailored care plans.
* Monitor progress, review outcomes, and adjust interventions to maximise child-centred occupational participation.
* Occasionally lead or supervise other OT staff (depending on assignment scope).
About You
* HCPC-registered Occupational Therapist with a degree/diploma in OT.
* Substantial paediatric/SEN experience - especially within schools or special needs settings.
* Proven experience working alongside AHPs in multidisciplinary teams.
* Adaptable, resilient, able to deliver in diverse environments.
* Full UK driving licence (for island travel between schools/clinics).
