The Team

Bank of America protects client information and maintains trust with investments in cybersecurity. Our Global Information Security (GIS) team of approximately 3,000 experts operates worldwide to identify, prevent and mitigate information security risks.


Programme Overview

Our 12-month Industrial Placement (IP) Analyst programme offers a broad and exciting experience of work as a full-time Technology Analyst. During your placement, you will fully integrate into one team and contribute from day one.


Training and Development

Your training and development are priorities, with extensive formal training at programme start, plus on-the-job support, educational speaker events, and mentorship throughout.


Responsibilities

* Providing analytical, strategic, and technical skills to design, develop, implement, and use state-of-the-art technology cybersecurity solutions aimed at reducing risk
* Delivering innovative capabilities in a team environment and leveraging skills and interests for a specific Global Information Security group
* Responding to, researching, measuring, detecting, and mitigating security attacks at the network and application layers
* Working on problems of moderate scope requiring analysis of situation or data
* Being responsible for global incident management and event management processes
* Supporting the production of metrics to track remediation activities
* Supporting Information Security activities including development of strategy and policy; vulnerability identification and management; monitoring, detecting, and responding to cybersecurity incidents


Eligibility

* Candidates must be pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree with completion between September 2027 and July 2028
* Minimum 112 UCAS points (or equivalent) and on track for a minimum 2:1 degree
* Must have the right to work in the UK; visa sponsorship is not available for this role
* Must have a 12-month placement built into the academic curriculum and be available to join from June 2026 for 12 months. This programme dates cannot be adjusted; full-time availability for the full 12 months is required

Candidates who perform well may be offered full-time employment starting July 2028; some lines of business may offer January or April start dates. Deferrals are not available.

* Show demonstrable evidence of self-learning outside of studies and efforts to advance technical skills
* Display motivation for a Technology career within financial services and interest in Information Security
* Demonstrate innovative thinking and strong problem solving
* Demonstrate effective communication and interpersonal skills
* Demonstrate teamwork, leadership, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
* Fluency in written and spoken English
* Demonstrate integrity and ethics by earning trust and respect through honesty and professionalism
