We have an exciting opportunity for HGV Class 2 Driver to join the team. Our Drivers are required to safely and efficiently deliver goods to our customers. At all times the driver should work in an friendly, efficient, safe and compliant manner, providing the best level of customer care to our customers. This role also involves ensuring the Yard is safe, clean and organised at all times. Yard safety is very important and must be managed daily to suit the site business requirements each day. Role Key AccountabilitiesDaily walk around vehicle checks and reporting any defectsDelivering to multiple customer sites - meeting the allocated delivery time slotsCommunicating with the office regularly to ensure customers are kept up to date with deliveriesEnsuring all paperwork relating to the delivery is completed correctly and in a timely mannerEnsuring the safe loading and unloading of your vehicle and all vehicles on siteAdhere to all company and site rules & policies at all timesKnowledge, Skills and Experience Hold the relevant license for Class 2 (C2) entitlement for a minimum one year ( applications from Newly qualified drivers will be accepted)Hold a valid driver CPC / Tacho Qualification cardUnderstand and comply with Driver's hours and Working Time DirectiveExcellent communication skills - for communicating with office and customersAttention to detailQuick decision-making skillsAbility to work on your own and as part of a team Abide by all Highway Code regulationsComply with all Health and Safety measuresFlexibility to drive a 3.5tn vehicle where business needs dictateFlexible to early morning staggered start times 06.00 - 10.00am Our Benefits 6 weeks / 30 days holiday increasing with Length of ServiceAbility to purchase or sell holidays 3 times life assurance Employee assistance programCycle2Work schemeRefer a friend scheme (£750 for successful applicants)Health and wellbeing initiatives, including free flu vaccinesSupport local charities
