About the Service At Ty Ash, this is more than just a job; it’s a chance to be part of something special from the very beginning. Our new home provides long-term residential placements for up to four children and young people aged 8-18 years old. It is grounded in DDP (Dyadic Developmental Practice) and relational approaches that prioritise emotional safety, trust and connection. Our dedicated team specializes in supporting those with neurodiversity and autism spectrum disorder, as well as being committed to trauma-informed care. About the role Qualified or currently working towards a level 3 in Health and Social Care, within this Residential Support Worker role, you’ll lead a team of support workers on shift, ensuring high standards of care and personalised support for the children and young people we support. Their proactive approach to risk management, safeguards our young people’s wellbeing allowing them to guide a team to deliver the highest quality of care. With a commitment to continuous improvement, they’ll ensure the wellbeing of our children and young people is prioritised by delivering personalised care, guidance and advocacy. This will include supporting in the absence of the Registered Manager or Team Leader, supervisions of staff, case managing and assisting in the development of the service. How you’ll create brighter futures Lead shifts with the primary aim of the provision of a high-quality service. Provide lead case/care planning management, including assessing, reviewing and managing risk. Co-ordinating responsibilities within the service, with multi agency and producing family information, including analysis and written reports. Attendance at professional meetings including reviews, court work etc. Supervise and guide staff as required, in accordance with Action for Children policies and procedures. Let’s talk about you We seek Residential Support Workers with a genuine passion for working with children who have experienced trauma, with an understanding of attachment and developmental trauma (training and support provided), and the resilience, emotional warmth, and sense of humour to make a real difference. We are also looking for: Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care children and young people (or recognised equivalent) or currently working towards.
