Key Responsibilities of a Legal Secretary in Property Law
* Providing comprehensive secretarial and administrative assistance to solicitors and legal executives across a range of matters, supporting 3-5 solicitors/fee earners.
* Preparing legal correspondence, audio typing, drafting contracts and documents with accuracy and attention to detail.
* Managing and organising files, schedules, and key dates, ensuring that all records and documentation are up to date and in accordance with legal procedures.
* Handling incoming calls, emails and enquiries, liaising directly with clients, professional contacts and external parties in a professional and friendly manner.
* Arranging appointments, meetings, and diary management for fee earners, as well as supporting with general office administration when required.
* Assisting with court documents.
* Maintaining confidentiality and high standards of client care at all times.
Essential Experience and Skills for Legal Secretary Jobs
* Previous experience in a legal secretary, legal assistant, or administrative support role within a law firm (minimum 1 year preferred), ideally with audio typing experience.
* Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
