Junior Software Engineer - SportsTech Platform Location: Hybrid Belfast Salary: £25,000-£32,000 Equity My client, a fast-growing sports-technology company, are building a modern, cloud-first platform used by athletes, coaches, and organisations to connect through video, data, and performance insights. They're expanding their engineering team and are looking for a Junior Software Engineer who wants to learn quickly, work across a modern stack, and help ship real features used across the UK, US and beyond. This role is ideal for someone early in their career who wants real ownership, real exposure, and the chance to contribute to a product that genuinely impacts how athletes develop and get discovered. Why this role is exciting You'll work across a genuinely modern stack: React, React Native, Node.js, Python, SQL/NoSQL, and cloud-native tooling. You'll build features end-to-end - not just small tickets or UI tweaks. You'll learn how high-quality products are shaped: ideation ? design ? build ? ship ? iterate. You'll be part of a team that moves quickly, collaborates well, and gives junior engineers meaningful opportunities to grow. You'll contribute to a platform used by real athletes, clubs, and performance staff. What you'll be doing Building user-facing features across web and mobile Implementing APIs, data flows, and backend logic Pairing with experienced engineers and learning modern engineering practices Contributing to testing, performance, and reliability improvements Turning user feedback and data insights into product updates What my client is looking for To be considered, you'll need one of the following: Active involvement in sport (e.g. club athlete, coaching, competing, ongoing participation in team-based sports) OR Excellent academics in a relevant STEM field (high grades, strong projects, clear technical foundations) And: 0-2 years' experience (internships, placements & personal projects all count) Familiarity with at least one modern programming language (JS/TS, Python, etc.) Genuine interest in full-stack work Curiosity, ambition, and a willingness to learn fast in a supportive environment What's on offer £25k-£32k salary equity Hybrid working (Belfast) Modern engineering environment with real ownership Clear progression and hands-on mentorship A product that makes a real difference in the sports world How to Apply To apply for this role, submit your CV via the application form provided.
