Are you committed to working towards a Level 3 Installation Electrician and Maintenance Electrician apprenticeship qualification?
Are you interested in developing the skills, knowledge and experience required to become a qualified and competent electrician?
Would you like to be part of a supportive team responding to requests for repairs?
We require two apprentice electricians for September 2025. One at our Beverley and Goole depots.
The apprentice post is an opportunity for you to qualify as an electrician and an example of some of the tasks you will learn are;
* A range of job tasks including learning how to carry out electrical testing and upgrade works to both void and tenanted properties
* Minor electrical repairs.
* Repair or renew light pendants, sockets, light switches, smoke alarms, pull switches.
* Repair Communal lighting.
* Repair or renew storage heaters, showers and electric fires
Work wear and personal protective equipment are supplied, with specialist tooling and equipment provided to help you carry out your work under supervision.
We are looking for applicants who can demonstrate enthusiasm and commitment to work within this very busy and supportive environment. The candidates must have the ability to work as part of a team, have an interest in becoming an electrician and be able to communicate effectively. Applicants must have the ability to carry out manual tasks.
The successful apprentices will receive high quality training with a mixture of on-and-off the job training. They will enhance their practical skills by working with fully trained operatives and attend college on a weekly basis (day-release) to complete the qualification. This is a fixed term post for 4 and half years and during this time you will complete (and must not already hold) the L3 Installation Electrician and Maintenance Electrician apprenticeship qualification.
