Overview
We are looking for an enthusiastic and ambitious Head of Dance or Teacher of Dance (part time considered) to join our dynamic Dance Department and help drive our mission forward. TLR will be offered for an exceptional candidate with leadership experience who would lead our vibrant department. You will teach across KS3 and KS4, and the ideal candidate will have strong subject knowledge, a passion for inspiring young people, and high expectations of achievement and behaviour. This is an exciting opportunity to shape a challenging and engaging curriculum within a collaborative team and to make a real impact on student outcomes.
Responsibilities
* Lead and manage the Dance Department to drive high standards of teaching and learning.
* Teach across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 with strong subject knowledge and professional practice.
* Collaborate with colleagues to shape and deliver a challenging, engaging curriculum.
* Support student achievement and behaviour through high expectations and evidence-informed practice.
* Participate in department planning, assessment, and professional development activities.
Qualifications and Experience
* Leadership experience in Dance or a track record of driving department improvement.
* Strong subject knowledge in Dance and a passion for inspiring young people.
* High expectations of achievement and behaviour and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
* Willingness to contribute to school-wide initiatives and professional development.
* Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
