Warehouse Team Leader – Night Shift (1:00 AM Start)

We're looking for a proactive and reliable Warehouse Team Leader to lead our night shift team at the Norwich hub, Thurlow Nunn's largest parts distribution site and the largest independent Distrigo operation in the UK.
This is a hands-on leadership role ideal for someone with strong warehouse experience and the ability to guide a team through the busiest early hours of the day — including van loading, stock control, and preparing deliveries for the day ahead.
You'll act as the go-to person for the early shift, helping ensure that all operations run smoothly, safely, and on time. While this role doesn't carry HR responsibility, you will be expected to support team motivation, performance, and shift discipline on the ground.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and coordinate the early shift warehouse team from 1:00 AM onward
* Oversee van loading, route preparation, and dispatch readiness for daily deliveries
* Monitor staff output and ensure productivity targets are met
* Ensure adherence to safe working practices and completion of all required checks (e.g. vehicle walkarounds, equipment readiness)
* Provide first-line problem solving on the shift — escalating to the Warehouse Operations Manager where needed
* Maintain clear communication with the Warehouse Operations Manager and other Team Leaders to ensure smooth handovers and consistent operational flow
* Support implementation of new processes and improvement initiatives
* Keep the warehouse clean, safe, and well-organised in line with company standards
What We're Looking For
* Previous experience in a warehouse environment – ideally in a team leader or supervisor capacity
* Comfortable working nights and early mornings and leading a shift from 1:00 AM
* Good understanding of warehouse processes, stock flow, and loading best practices
* Strong awareness of health and safety, with the confidence to lead by example
* Positive, team-oriented attitude with strong communication skills
* Organised, dependable, and able to take initiative when required
* Experience using systems such as Pinnacle, Samsara, or other WMS/FMS platforms (desirable but not essential)

40 hours per week, Tuesday - Saturday 1am - 9.30am
