Overview
Construction Teacher or Tutor. Are you a qualified teacher, tutor or instructor of Construction? Could you use your knowledge to deliver practical lessons in a SEMH setting working with students studying BTEC?
The Role
As a Construction Teacher, Tutor or Trainer you will deliver structured, practical lessons to small groups. You will work to the BTEC curriculum, so experience in a school or college setting is essential. You will not just teach the basics but help students prepare for the world of work, underpinning skills and health & safety as part of the programme.
The Candidate
You will hold a teaching qualification and have experience in a school or college setting teaching BTEC. You will be keen to continually develop your input in practical lessons that enable students to progress. You will have a track record of teaching and be able to adjust your technique to engage with all students. Insights into apprenticeships and the world of work are a must.
Requirements
* Teaching Qualification
* In-depth knowledge of BTEC Construction
* Enhanced DBS — ideally on the Update Service
* Desire to work with students aged 14+ with a genuine interest in supporting progress
* Experience working with students in an SEMH or College setting
