Role Overview
RunThrough is seeking a full-time Event Venues Manager in Hersham, UK, with a salary of £32,000 - £38,000 plus bonuses. The role involves managing mass-participation running events, maintaining venue relationships, project management, and overseeing a small team. Candidates must be passionate about running, possess excellent communication skills, and have a full UK driving license. The position allows for independent remote work during the week and includes various employee benefits.
Key Responsibilities
* Maintain and develop relationships with venues, councils, traffic management contractors, etc.
* Project management of events and ensuring the delivery of them within budgets
* Create and update event management plans and risk assessments
* Complete relevant event applications, e.g. road closure applications
* Event day delivery
* Assist with the line management of a small team of Operations staff.
What We’re Looking For
* Passionate about physical activity, the outdoors and running
* Interest in trail running or experienced in supporting trail running events
* Excellent communication skills and a strong work ethic
* Full UK manual driving licence and willing to drive vans
* Previous line management experience
* Ability to work independently and remotely during the week
* Willing to work weekends: early start, early finish
* Excellent organisation, communication and time management skills
* Knowledge of the U.K running industry.
