Facilities Manager Role
As our Facilities Manager, you will head up the Facilities function of our business, including Front of House. You will lead, design, advise upon, and implement a working environment that supports business growth, employee wellbeing, and engagement.
Responsibilities
1. Ensure full Health, Safety & Environmental compliance of COOMBES offices and workspaces.
2. Manage waste, introduce environmental sustainability measures, and lead pesticide/chemical storage compliance.
3. Support sustainability strategies, focusing on energy, waste, and procurement.
4. Establish processes for maintenance issues, manage security, and oversee PAT testing and pest control.
5. Lead, coach, and develop the Reception and Facilities team.
6. Oversee purchasing, PPE, uniforms, and manage reception operations.
7. Manage Stores, stock levels, and organize logistics for staff and machinery.
8. Negotiate office leases, manage insurances, and maintain relationships with suppliers and landlords.
9. Coordinate contracts with third-party service providers and ensure standards across multiple sites.
10. Act as an emergency Key Holder, responding to urgent facilities needs.
Qualifications and Skills
Ideally, candidates will have:
* IWFM/BIFM (or equivalent), NEBOSH/IOSH, BASIS Storekeeper Certificates (or working towards).
* Experience leading audits and understanding UK legislative requirements.
* Proven leadership, excellent communication, and process implementation skills.
* A full UK driving license is essential.
