Job Title: Buyer (6-Month Contract – Potential Extension)
Location: Liverpool Docks
Outside of IR35
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Buyer to join an engineering company delivering a major extension project at an industrial facility based in Liverpool Docks.
This is an initial 6-month contract, with strong potential for extension. The role is full-time, working 8-hour days (40 hours per week).
Key Responsibilities:

Managing end-to-end procurement activities to support the extension project

Sourcing materials, equipment, and services in line with project requirements
*
Negotiating with suppliers to secure best value and lead times
*
Raising and managing purchase orders
*
Coordinating with site teams, engineers, and project managers
*
Monitoring supplier performance, deliveries, and resolving supply issues
*
Ensuring compliance with company procurement procedures
Requirements:
*
Proven experience as a Buyer, ideally within engineering, construction, or industrial projects
*
Strong negotiation and supplier management skills
*
Experience working on large-scale projects is highly desirable
*
Ability to work in a fast-paced, site-based project environment
*
Good knowledge of ERP/procurement systems
