You will be working with senior stakeholders across the business so the ability to liaise with people at all levels, present and articulate well is essential for this role, as well as a good attention to details whilst juggling multiple priorities.
This role will suit someone who has worked in a complex team structure, ideally in a large organisation, who has the ability to understand the importance of communication and has a passion for continuous improvement.
Job Overview
The main purpose of the role will be to support the effective running of the Digital organisation at Southern Water. Working with the Digital Business Manager you will be responsible for the smooth running of the Directorate focused on performance, engagement, risks and controls, committee papers and communications.
Responsibilities will include:
1. Tracking Directorate objectives, producing scorecards and reporting
2. Working with Risk and Compliance colleagues tracking all Risk, Audit, Compliance and Controls processes and reporting and ensuring actions are on track
3. Producing our people plan, colleague engagement action plans, the Directorate training and development plan and helping organise all colleague communication activities including Town Halls
4. Supporting production and tracking of a continual improvement plan for IT processes
5. Supporting the Chief Digital and Transformation Officer with all Committee papers and actions
6. Providing input into weekly reporting and ad hoc progress reporting and communications
7. Analysis of performance across all IT and Digital areas and KPIs
8. Assists with the management and monitoring of project costs against budget
9. Responsible for accurate daily, weekly and monthly reporting of performance against key initiatives
10. Amends processes by mapping out revisions and ensures appropriate authorisation
11. Ensure accuracy of all reporting by establishing and maintain methodologies, processing definitions and quality management processes
12. Articulating and creating internal communications

13. Strong ability to deliver against key project milestones
14. High level of planning and scheduling skills, ensuring the complex activities of interrelated teams and activities are controlled, co-ordinated and linked into the overall business plan.
15. Strong interpersonal and communication skills
16. Strong negotiating and influencing skills
17. Project Management/Continuous Improvement experience
18. Excellent analytical and trend analysis and problem solving skills
19. Stakeholder management
20. Attention to detail and ability to deliver accurate reports, sometimes to tight deadlines
21. Ability to identify and develop proposals / opportunities for business improvements in relevant business area.
22. Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills

This role will be full time Monday to Friday 37 hours a week.
Southern Water operate a hybrid approach to working between our Durrington (Worthing) office and home (2 days in the office).
