Alexander Steele is delighted to announce that we are working exclusively with one of the UK’s leading alcoholic drinks distributors to find a Brand Manager to join their team.
This role is responsible for the vision, strategic direction, and operational day-to-day running of a portfolio of brands. Implementation of the strategic plan will grow company profitability, develop agency sales volume, and increase brand notoriety.

Key responsibilities:
* and cost-up effective brand plans, balancing creativity with commercialism to deliver on brand vison and aspirations for the UK market.
* clear strategic goals and brand volume objectives, which will in turn drive sales results and market penetration for brands.
* organise, and implement inspirational and innovative marketing initiatives and activities that will help bring the brand to life, while building brand awareness and equity.
* clear, compelling brand positioning and channel strategy, in line with brand owner’s view.
* that channel strategy is aligned to brand strategy.
* wider market data in conjunction with internal statistics to identify exploitable growth opportunities for brands.
* and report on key metrics, i.e. volume and A&P, to make sure that brands are on track to achieve objectives and implement corrective action when necessary.
* and implement pertinent and creative communication strategies (embracing advertising, PR, and promotions where appropriate). Ensure that brand message is consistent in all communication while delivering against strategic objectives.
* with the press and trade KOL to further raise the profile and awareness of Fells and its agencies.
* and represent the company at tastings, events, competitions, promotions.
* a difference - champion and promote brands internally and externally whilst constantly reviewing the way we do business to help bring efficiencies.
* on the above to brand owners in clear, effective, professional way.
* and grow effective working relationships with the brand owners.
Experience and skills required:
* of 3 years’ experience in brand management.
* of 3 years’ experience with a marketing background, preferably within wine or FMCG or a company responsible for selling luxury brands.
* good working knowledge and experience of the UK drinks sector, both on and off trade.
* ability to identify and exploit consumer insights and translate them into the brand’s strategy and communications.
* that we are an exclusive agency house, so there is a strong requirement to work effectively with the brand owner.
