KS2 Teaching Assistant (Carmountside Primary Academy)
32.5 hrs per week, term time only – Temporary post to cover maternity leave. Required from: Asap.
Grade: Level 4 pt 4-7.

Role Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Key Stage 2 Teaching Assistant to support our enthusiastic and curious learners. The ideal candidate will work closely with teachers to deliver engaging lessons, provide individualised support, and help create a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist in planning and delivering lessons that cater to the diverse needs of pupils.
* Support pupils with their learning activities, ensuring they understand and complete tasks.
* Provide one-on-one or small group support to pupils who need extra help.
* Help manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment.
* Prepare and organise teaching materials and resources.
* Collaborate with teachers and other staff to monitor and assess pupil progress.
* Foster a safe and inclusive environment where every pupil feels valued.
Qualifications
* A recognised level 3 qualification (or higher) in childcare.
* Previous experience working with children, preferably in an educational setting.
* A genuine passion for education and helping children succeed.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Patience, empathy, and the ability to build positive relationships with students.
* Basic knowledge of the Key Stage 2 curriculum.
