Dorset County Hospital is looking for motivated and experienced MRI/CT Radiographers to join our team providing a seven day service to the Trust. Main duties of the job
We have three CT scanners; a Canon Prism and a GE Evo performing a range of procedures at the Dorchester site including CT Colonography, Cardiac CT and 4D scans. The third CT scanner is a GE Ascend located in one of our community hospitals. The new emergency department, due in 2027, will also have a new CT scanner located in the heart of the department. We also have two Siemens MRI scanners performing a wide range of imaging.
The MRI team developed a Cardiac MRI service in 2025 which we are looking to build further. We actively encourage staff development and innovation, including radiographer reporting.

Education, Qualifications & Training
Essential criteria
* HCPC registration.
* DCR / BSc diagnostic radiography.
Desirable criteria
* Post graduate training in a specialist field.
* Extensive experience in cross sectional imaging
Knowledge & Experience
Essential criteria
* Considerable postgraduate experience in MRI/CT
* Evidence of continuing professional development particularly in cross sectional imaging
* Evidence of participation in clinical governance.
* Experience of working in a multidisciplinary imaging team.
Desirable criteria
* Experience of training and supervising junior staff and students
* Evidence of participation in departmental audit
Skills & Abilities
Essential criteria
* Evidence of ability to communicate with patients, relatives and all levels of staff throughout the organisation.
* Understanding of clinical governance and how it relates to Diagnostic Imaging service
* Ability to facilitate multi disciplinary working
* Ability to participate in CPD training sessions by delivering training
Desirable criteria
* Ability to organise and manage the daily running of the specialist area
