Vehicle Technician / MOT Tester Location: Telford
Salary: £30,000 – £32,000 Basic (higher for VAG experience) + Bonus (~£200/month)
Contract Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Hours: Monday – Friday, 08:30 – 17:00 (40 hours per week)
We are working with a well-established and reputable Main Dealership in Shrewsbury, currently looking to expand their team with the addition of a skilled Vehicle Technician / MOT Tester. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone seeking a great work-life balance with no weekend working and a supportive, flexible environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Carry out servicing, maintenance, and repair work to a high standard
2. Perform MOT tests (if qualified) and ensure compliance with DVSA standards
3. Diagnose and rectify faults using diagnostic equipment and technical knowledge
4. Work independently and as part of a team to meet workshop targets
5. Complete all relevant paperwork accurately and efficiently
Requirements
6. Level 3 NVQ or IMI in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent) preferred
7. MOT Licence (Class 4) desirable but not essential
8. Previous experience in an independent or dealership workshop environment
9. VAG experience is highly advantageous
10. High standards of workmanship with strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
11. Full UK driving licence required
