Location: Oxford. Start Date: September 2025. Contract Type: Full-Time, Permanent. The Opportunity: A nurturing and inclusive primary school in Oxford is seeking a passionate and dedicated Nursery Teacher to join their team in September 2025. This is an exciting opportunity to work with young children and lay the foundations for their future learning and development. The successful candidate will be part of a supportive and forward-thinking team, committed to providing a stimulating and engaging environment for children to grow, explore, and thrive. Key Responsibilities: * Plan and deliver creative and engaging lessons that meet the developmental needs of Nursery-aged children, following the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum. * Create a welcoming, safe, and nurturing classroom environment that supports children's emotional and social development, encouraging independence and exploration. * Observe and assess children’s progress, providing feedback to parents and carers, and working to address individual learning needs. * Collaborate with other teachers, teaching assistants, and school leadership to ensure continuity and consistency in the delivery of the EYFS curriculum. * Establish positive relationships with children, parents, and carers, providing support and guidance as needed. * Contribute to the wider school community through involvement in extracurricular activities, school events, and ongoing professional development. Person Specification: * Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a relevant recognised teaching qualification in Early Years education. * In-depth knowledge of the EYFS curriculum and experience in teaching Nursery-aged children. * Strong understanding of child development and the ability to create an inclusive, stimulating, and safe learning environment. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with children, parents, and colleagues. * A commitment to providing high-quality early childhood education and continuously improving professional practice. * Experience of assessing children's progress and providing targeted support to meet individual learning needs.
