Facilities Management manage a wide-ranging portfolio of properties across Lancashire to provide safe and positive working environments for our staff and customers.
The post holder will work as part of the Facilities Management Operations and Support team under the direction of the Operations Mobile Support Team Leader undertaking a range of facilities and accommodation support tasks. Operatives will travel across a portfolio of properties completing a range of compliance inspections and defined tasks.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Undertake and record regular compliance checks and inspections,. legionella flushing, fire alarm testing, play equipment inspections.
2. Undertake some general repair, cleaning and grounds work as required including the provision of winter gritting services countywide, using hand tools, power tools or fuel powered equipment.
3. Plan and organise own workload and assist with the coordination of the work of contractors and other teams in support of facilities maintenance, office set-ups and clear-outs, and furniture removal and collections across the county.
4. Monitor and contribute to recording of data in relation to a range of facilities initiatives, including recycling, compliance, etc.
5. Positively support members of the public and LCC occupying staff across sites to provide assistance and to respond to emergency support if required.
6. Monitor contractor works across all sites.
7. Complete any tasks deemed necessary in line with the grade profile.
A vehicle will be provided to undertake these tasks, although use of your own vehicle may occasionally be required to travel to sites. Mileage at the current rate will be paid for such journeys. You will be required to provide a car for use in connection with the duties of this post and must be insured for business use. However, we may consider you if you cannot drive because of a disability.
