Brinsbury College have an exciting opportunity for a Lecturer in Animal Management at our Brinsbury Campus. You will join us on a full time, temporary basis (Maternity Cover) and in return, we will offer a competitive salary of £26,716 - £41,659 per annum.

About the Lecturer in Animal Management role:
As our Lecturer in Animal Management, you will join our amazing team at Brinsbury College to deliver creative and innovative lessons to students working predominantly with Animal Care subjects from Level 1 to 3. There may also be some low level Equine delivery in addition depending on the profile of the successful candidate.
Key Responsibilities as our Lecturer in Animal Management:
To undertake teaching and learning related activities, including tutoring, as agreed.
To ensure that appropriate learning materials are prepared and assessments and assignments are undertaken in a timely manner.
To undertake administration and provide reports and statistics regarding student and teaching matters.
To take an active role in the achievement of high individual student retention and success rates, meeting or surpassing the relevant targets for each.
To develop curricula and learning activities, taking into consideration literacy and numeracy development, and equality and diversity.
To understand personal responsibilities in relation to Safeguarding.
Keep up-to-date with current issues, changes, and policies relating to the educational sector.
To participate in marketing activities and promote the College for the purpose of gaining sponsorship, advertising, good public relations and increased recruitment.
To undertake the delivery of literacy and numeracy.
Our ideal Lecturer in Animal Management should have the following skills and experience:
Relevant experience in animal sector
Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
An understanding of safeguarding vulnerable groups
Level 5 (or equivalent), or above in Animal Management, or related Animal qualification
Level 2 literacy and numeracy
Time management skills, organisational skills and the ability to meet targets and deadlines
The ability to communicate effectively with a diverse range of people at all levels, verbally and in writing
This role is for a fixed term period of maternity cover for a maximum of one year or the return, resignation or replacement of the current post older, whichever is sooner.
