What you will learn

As a DevOps Engineer, you will:
* Work as part of a DevOps team to deliver environments and tools to support the development and testing of features by Scrum teams.
* Automate the provisioning of serverless integrations between different systems using their APIs.
* Setup and configure tools such as Gitlab, Jenkins, Smartbear, SonarCube and performance/security/resilience testing tools.
* Create automated processes for development teams to apply continuous integration and continuous testing approaches.
Qualifications
The following skills and experience are required for this role:
* Experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment, including hands‑on implementation experience with tools such as Gitlab, Jira, Codebuild, etc.
* Infrastructure‑as‑code experience – Cloudformation, AWS CDK, Terraform, etc.
* Familiarity with automated software quality assurance tooling.
* Experience using tools such as Cloudformation, AWS CDK, Ansible to automate infrastructure provisioning, environment setup and software deployment.
* Experience implementing system monitoring and alerting using tools such as Cloudwatch, Appdynamics, Kibana, Splunk or Prometheus.
* Experience with one or more public/private cloud offerings and virtualisation technologies.
* Knowledge of RESTful APIs and how to consume and invoke them in DevOps pipelines and scripting.
* Working knowledge of Agile and Lean software delivery methodologies.
* Experience in setting up and administering Linux‑based environments.
* Experience in at least one common scripting language (e.g., Python, Node.js, TypeScript, PowerShell, Bash).
Set yourself apart
* Confidence in leading teams and/or introducing DevOps to new projects.
* Experience defining and managing roadmaps for the implementation of DevOps in an enterprise IT organisation.
* Experience in technical architecture – design and delivery of IT systems for a broad range of clients.
* Experience in virtual network setup and/or functional/performance testing.
