We are looking to recruit a Project Manager, Communications & Events to join the Town Council team on a twelve-month fixed-term contract for maternity cover. The role is varied and includes:
Responsibilities
* Creating engaging written content, including press releases, blog posts and social media content to engage with residents, businesses, and visitors to communicate the Council's visions, plans and decisions
* Designing and producing digital and printed newsletters to keep residents and key stakeholders informed about Council activities and updates
* Using your knowledge and experience of using CMS platforms to manage, maintain and review the Town Council website. Including monitoring performance and ensuring all information is accurate, current, relevant and accessible
* Overseeing and managing social media channels (Facebook, Instagram and X), including content creation, scheduling and performance monitoring
* Supporting delivery of the work programme of projects from the Town Council's Strategic Plan priorities.
We are seeking an all-round team player for this office based role. The ideal candidate will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, be self-motivated and be willing to undertake a wide range of tasks.
