Reed Accountancy are currently assisting an established client in the Crawley area in the recruitment of an Accountant to join their finance team. Reporting directly to the Financial Controller this role will provide support to the FC/FD as well as standing in for other members of the team as required. This role will get involved in monthly accounting for various entities within the business with a view to lessening the involvement of third part service providers.
Day-to-day of the role:
* Reconciliation of cash books, balance sheet, customer & supplier accounts
* Intercompany transactions and balances within the group
* Working in a multi-currency environment
* Working with various banking systems and loading of international payments, including foreign transactions
* Taking books up to trial balance stage
* Balance sheet reconciliations
* Assisting with annual audit
* Working on Microsoft Access accounting system
Required Skills & Qualifications:
1. Recognised accounting qualification, together with 3+ years in a similar position, alternatively substantial QBE
2. Strong multi currency and intercompany experience
3. Process driven, a “can-do” attitude, and ability to see tasks through “to the end”
