We are seeking an experienced Bid Manager to lead the end-to-end bid and tender response process in a dynamic PPE distribution business. This pivotal role involves setting up a centralised product cataloguing system, deploying AI tools to support tender response writing, and establishing a scalable, efficient bid function for our regional sales team. The ideal candidate will combine strong project management and writing skills with a deep understanding of commercial bid processes ideally within B2B organisations.
Key Responsibilities
Bid Management
* Support via coordination and manage the lifecycle of tenders, proposals, and framework submissions across multiple regions
* Define bid strategies in collaboration with sales, procurement, and product teams.
* Establish and manage bid timelines, ensuring timely and high-quality submissions.
* Design and implement a centralised digital product catalogue system to standardise product descriptions, pricing, and specifications.
* Collaborate with product, supply chain, and IT teams to ensure catalogue accuracy, scalability, and integration with sales tools and procurement platforms.
* Identify, evaluate, and implement AI-enabled content generation and knowledge management tools to enhance bid-writing productivity and quality.
* Maintain a library of reusable content and responses, structured to leverage AI-assisted search and writing functionality.
Stakeholder Engagement
* Act as a central point of contact for all regional bid-related activity, ensuring effective communication with sales, technical teams, legal, and executive stakeholders.
* Conduct post-bid reviews to refine processes and content.
Governance & Compliance
* Ensure compliance with tender instructions, regulatory requirements, and company policies.
* Track and report bid outcomes, win/loss ratios on tendering.

* Excellent Communicator – Skilled in persuasive, concise writing tailored to procurement needs and evaluation scoring.
* Collaborative – Strong cross-functional coordination with internal teams and external stakeholders.
Functional Ownership
* Ownership of the regional end-to-end bid management process, from opportunity identification to submission and debrief.
* Development and ongoing governance of the centralised product catalogue, ensuring it serves as a single source of truth for tendering and sales.
* Implementation and optimisation of AI-assisted writing and content automation tools for bid support.
* Performance tracking and continuous improvement of the tendering function, including win rates and feedback loops.
