The role:

Fatigue Officer

Salary: £36,000 - £40,000 Pro Rata

The Fatigue Officer supports the deputy Safety and Security Manager in the development and continuous improvement of Fatigue Management at BA Euroflyer. The role is primarily responsible for reviewing and investigating fatigue reports, creating the data packages for the Fatigue Safety Action Group (FSAG), and developing fatigue management processes in conjunction with the Safety and Security team. The role will also have an administration function supporting the Safety and Security Manager.

What you’ll do:

1. ·Conduct thorough investigations into Fatigue reports across flight operations.
2. Create and maintain data packages for the Fatigue Safety Action Group (FSAG) and Safety and
3. Compliance Review Board (SCRB)
4. Develop and enhance the Fatigue Management System in collaboration with the Safety and
5. Security team.
6. Analyse fatigue data and trends to identify risks and recommend mitigations.
7. Prepare and present fatigue-related reports to relevant safety committees.
8. Attend various meeting as the representative for Fatigue at BA Euroflyer
9. Liaise with internal departments and external regulatory bodies to support fatigue
10. management initiatives.
11. Support the administration of the Safety and Security department.
12. Assist in the creation and distribution of fatigue promotion materials
13. Conduct Safety investigations to support the safety and security team where needed.

What you’ll bring to British Airways:

14. Strong analytical and investigative skill
15. Ability to plan and prioritise own workload.
16. Ability to work under pressure and deliver to challenging deadlines.
17. Effective communicator with strong report writing skills
18. Excellent time management skills.
19. Acute attention to detail and accuracy in work carried out, with the ability to
20. identify risk in process of operation.
21. Flexibility to travel as required.

Your experience:

22. Experience in conducting safety/ Fatigue investigations and reporting
23. Understanding of Fatigue Management / SMS / Flight Time Limitation
24. principles and regulatory requirements
25. Proven experience identifying and proposing strategies around potential key issues with regards to Fatigue
26. Experience in coordinating and developing a Fatigue Risk Management System.
27. Sound understanding and commitment to Just Culture and Human Factors.
