We are currently seeking a dynamic and creative Key Stage 1 Teacher for a long-term cover position starting in October 2025. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dedicated team committed to providing a nurturing and stimulating learning environment where every child can flourish.
About the Role
* Position: Key Stage 1 Teacher (Long-Term Cover) Mixed Y1/2 class.
* Key Stage: KS1
* Start Date: October 2025
* Duration: Long-term, with the potential to extend (if applicable)
* Hours: Full-time Monday - Friday (Term time only. part-time applications may be considered, please specify if applicable).
* Pay: Between M1-6 pro rata.
What We Are Looking For
* A qualified teacher with QTS (Qualified Teacher Status).
* Experience of teaching within Key Stage 1, with a strong understanding of the KS1 curriculum and developmental stages of young children.
* Strong knowledge of phonics.
* Familiarity with Read Write Inc would be preferable.
* A passion for creating engaging and inspiring learning experiences that cater to individual needs.
* Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues.
* Enthusiasm, creativity, and a commitment to teamwork.
* A good understanding of assessment for learning and the ability to use data to inform teaching.
* A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
