Senior Support Worker - Solo Placement Children's Residential Home
Location: Preston
Salary: £30,545 per annum inclusive of sleep rate, normally £40 per sleep
Hours: Full-time, Permanent
Shifts: 3 on 3 off - 12 hour shifts
Opportunity to earn bonus of £300 per month on top of your salary!
Brook Street Social Care, in proud partnership with a respected children's residential care provider in Preston, is recruiting for an experienced and dedicated Senior Support Worker to join their compassionate and expanding team.
About the Role:
As a Senior Support Worker, you will play a pivotal role in supporting young people with EBD needs in a safe, children centred and structured environment. You will offer support with a team of residential support workers, ensuring the highest quality of care is consistently delivered while promoting positive outcomes for the children and young people in your care.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of care staff
2. Ensure all safeguarding, compliance, and quality standards are met
3. Support the development and implementation of individual care plans
4. Build trusting relationships with children, families, and professionals
5. Be part of the on-call rota and cover shifts when required
Requirements:
6. Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) - essential
7. Previous experience in a senior or team leader role within a children's residential setting
8. Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
9. A genuine passion for making a difference in young people's lives
10. Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and sleep-in shifts
