Purchasing Data Co-ordinator - Support Office
We have an exciting new opportunity for a Purchasing Data Co-ordinator to join our Purchasing Department!
In this role you will be providing data analysis on; purchasing from veterinary wholesalers and direct suppliers, purchase reports for various other CVS business units such as Vet Direct and MiPet, and pricing comparisons for Small Animal, Equine and Large Animal Divisions.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide essential data analysis to assist the improved profitability of CVS purchasing
2. Provide compliance reports around dedicated and preferred products
3. Provide net pricing for product comparisons
4. Will need to be able to provide internal and external customer service by phone and e mail as part of the “Products Team” based on a rota
5. Assist in stock valuations for CVS acquisitions
6. With experience to seek and provide opportunities for future savings for the CVS purchasing department
7. Take an active role in spotting opportunities for savings or margin improvements when reviewing and analysing data
8. Good Distribution Practice – Compliance GDP
Skills Required:
9. Eager to learn and take responsibility for personal learning and development
10. Analytical with strong Excel and IT system skills
11. Excellent command of written English
12. Educated to degree level is preferred but not essential
13. To be open and willing to work as part of a team; adaptable and flexible to support the needs of the team
14. An excellent team player within a matrix organisation to satisfy a variety of needs from different stakeholders
15. To have an inquisitive mind and to have confidence to challenge the status quo when appropriate
16. Able to prioritise and achieve results to strict deadlines
