Job Description
· Directing all aspects of manufacturing to produce cost-effective, timely, and high-quality products in a safe & secure working environment.
· Improve operational management systems, processes, and drive best practices.
· Develop & mentor the manufacturing team.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
* Manage the development, implementation, and continual improvement of operating methods, equipment, systems infrastructure used to realize operating goals and objectives.
* Direct the development of production work schedules to meet internal goals and customer expectations; monitor process and personnel performance of scheduled work activities to remove operating impediments and achieve established goals.
* Ensure compliance with all regulatory guidelines and foster a safe manufacturing environment.
* Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement corrective actions to drive performance improvements (S,Q,D,C,P).
* Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide constructive feedback and coaching.
* Focus on driving efficiencies & margin enhancement.
* Identify & implement automation solutions.
The Successful Applicant
* You have an industrial manufacturing background—mechanical engineering, metal work (welding, fabrication, assembly), machining, precision engineering components—in a production or shift management role.
* Manufacturing Safety: Knowledge of manufacturing safety; ability to identify work-related hazards and perform activities to meet regulatory requirements for safety and protection of workers, environment, and site.
* Analytical Thinking: Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine root causes and create solutions.
* Knowledge of performance management techniques; ability to apply systems, practices, and tools to develop and improve performance.
* Knowledge and understanding of Lean principles and Six Sigma methodology for continuous improvement.
* Manufacturing Standards, Procedures, and Policies: Knowledge of organizational standards and procedures; ability to plan, guide, and monitor manufacturing processes for compliance.
* Proven experience in manufacturing leadership roles.
* Excellent communication skills across all organizational levels.
* Experience in manufacturing or production management roles.
* Desired experience in sustainable manufacturing, technological advancements, and automation solutions.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Computer literacy.
