Registered Veterinary Nurse - Small Animal
MBM Veterinary Group is offering a full-time or part-time position for a dedicated Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our small animal team. We are looking for a caring, enthusiastic nurse who is passionate about delivering exceptional patient care. We provide a supportive working environment, opportunities for career development, and a commitment to work-life balance.
About MBM Vets
MBM Veterinary Group is an independently run practice based in Ayrshire, with branches in Kilmarnock, Mauchline, and Beith. We offer a wide range of veterinary services across the small animal, farm, and equine sectors. Our facilities include digital and dental radiography, multiparameter anaesthetic monitoring, ultrasound with colour Doppler, endoscopy, ECG, and electrocautery. We also maintain an in-house laboratory capable of FNA cytology, full haematology and biochemistry, and point-of-care tests. A dedicated lab nurse supports diagnostic workflows. We host VetsNow out-of-hours services to keep hospitalised patients on-site when needed.
Our Team and Culture
You will join a close-knit and supportive small animal team, with veterinary surgeons, RVNs, animal nursing assistants, and reception staff. We are committed to professional development and maintaining high standards of care, while fostering a collaborative and respectful work environment.
About The Role
You will be involved in all aspects of small animal nursing, including consultations, surgical support, inpatient care, emergency triage, and reception duties. We are particularly interested in candidates who are confident in running nurse-led clinics and contributing to client education and preventative health services. Client communication should be clear, compassionate, and professional. You will be encouraged to pursue CPD in line with RCVS guidelines, with full support from the practice.
Maintain a smart and professional appearance and represent the practice with integrity and a commitment to excellent service.
