We are currently looking for a Legacy Manager to join our South Division. As a legacy manager your responsibilities will be to clear manage and clear our old site issues, that the division has, which include longstanding issues that are in progress as well as new issues that may arise. The legacy manager, who would work solely on old legacy issues, will benefit the team by taking this pressure away from them allowing them to concentrate on newer purchasers and enable us to provide Customer Centric support to raise long term satisfaction to include 9-month reviews, trust pilot and other social media outlets. The legacy manager will also be able to fully oversee a project working alongside a legacy team to ensure effective management of works, cost control and recovery and speedy resolution to latent defects. Principal Duties or Responsibilities Investigate reported latent defects Meet with clients - homeowners/managing agents/bulk purchasers Attend with contractors to investigate defects Project manage latent defects through to completion Work as part of a legacy team alongside a Technical manager, Legacy Surveyor and Senior Customer Service Manager Ensure original contractor attends to rectify defects or is put on notice for potential costs If order to be placed work with legacy surveyor to obtain quotes and ensure price is best value Update senior customer service manager/customer service director to ensure customer can be fully updated Manage costs and get approvals from Customer Service Director Attend legacy and old sites meetings to update on progress and cost Manage customer expectations Experience, Qualifications & Skills We are looking for people to join our Company who can demonstrate preferably all of the below: Construction trade qualification/customer service qualification Understanding of the construction process Understanding of NHBC Warranties and Standards 5 years working in a Customer Care focused environment. Ability to adapt communication style to audience on telephone and face to face. The ability to communicate at all levels and clearly in writing. To maintain an open communication with Build, Technical and Commercial personnel to highlight design product and workmanship problems and to be able to handle the pressure that may arise when dealing with internal personnel in these circumstances. Ability to build good working relationships and trust at all levels particularly with Build, Technical and Commercial colleagues as well as our Subcontractor base. Must be an excellent communicator and able to use own initiative. Must be able to handle a busy office environment, demonstrate time management skills and who can multi task. A good product knowledge is essential, enabling correct solutions to be reached with a variety of reportable issues. The ability to stay calm and deal with situations of conflict and high emotion both face to face and in the office environment. To be able to assess the situation impartially and propose effective solutions based on fact.
