Salary Range: Grade 6 - SCP23 SCP25 (£33,366- £35,235 FTE) Pro rata salary £29,478.86 - £31,130.12
Salary amounts quoted are from the 1 September to 31 August and therefore if you commence employment part way through the academic year they are subject to an equated salary adjustment
Working Type: Full Time [37 hours per week, 39 working weeks, 45.945 paid weeks]
Base: Buile Hill Academy, Eccles Old Road, Salford, M6 8RD
Please note: the post holder will be engaging in regulated activity, working mainly or wholly with children. This position is exempt from the rehabilitation of offender’s act 1974. It is an offence to apply for this role if you are barred from engaging in regulated activity relevant to children.

Buile Hill Academy is looking to appoint an enthusiastic and dynamic Education Welfare Officer to our team. The successful candidate should be able:
* To assist in meeting agreed targets and outcomes in the academy
* To identify those children in need of support by reason of their behaviour, absence
from academy, family dysfunction, disability, social or emotional needs or any other
special educational needs
* To work with looked after children and their carers to improve access to the academy
* To give guidance and support to teachers, parents and children in dealing with issues
of concern
* To assist the academy to safeguard students through joint work with partner
* agencies
