Job Overview
We are looking for a skilled and adaptable Electrician / Electrical Engineer to join their team. This role involves a combination of installation, inspection, and reactive repair and maintenance work across a variety of environments. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working both independently and as part of a team, with a willingness to travel.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out installation, maintenance, and testing and inspection of electrical systems
- Perform reactive repair and fault-finding work.
- Conduct planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
- Work on power systems, general lighting, and emergency lighting installations
- Support specialisms including:
o Wind turbine maintenance (electrical & mechanical)
o High Voltage (HV) installation, maintenance, and repair
o Quarrying and printing machinery maintenance
- Carry out electrical and gas safety inspections
- Ensure compliance with all current regulations and safety standards
- Maintain accurate documentation and reporting for all work completed
- Work independently and as part of a team to meet project deadlines
- Maintain high standards of health, safety, and housekeeping on all sites
- Identify opportunities for additional works
Requirements
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent)
- Inspection & Testing qualification (2391 or equivalent)
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
- Experience in reactive maintenance and repair environments xxuwjjq
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- Willingness to travel across the UK, Ireland, and occasionally Europe
- Full UK driving licence
Desirable Skills
- Experience with High Voltage (HV) systems
- Wind turbine or renewable energy experience
- Mechanical maintenance knowledge
- Experience in industrial environments (e.g., quarrying, manufacturing, printing)
