This is an exciting opportunity to join Foster Care Associates. We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Full Time Senior/Supervising Social Worker to join our friendly team and develop the fostering services in the North West on a Month Fixed Term Contract. Our head office is in Chorley, supporting a flexible hybrid working model from home.

Key Duties
1. Support foster parents and their families to achieve outstanding outcomes for children and young people.
2. Monitor and support foster parents to ensure a safe, nurturing, and healthy environment.
3. Ensure foster carers understand their responsibilities, including complaint and representation procedures.
4. Provide regular supervision to foster parents in line with FCA standards.
5. Work collaboratively within a team to address the needs of foster families, including participating in relevant meetings.
6. Ensure compliance with all documentation and regulatory requirements.
7. Attend meetings and prepare reports for commissioning teams.
8. Encourage participation of children/young people in agency development and community access.
9. Participate in an out-of-hours support rota.
10. Conduct initial home visits and Form F assessments as needed.
Qualifications and Experience
* A Social Work qualification.
* Registration with Social Work England or equivalent.
* Proven report writing skills.
* Knowledge of relevant legislation and safeguarding procedures.
* Willingness and ability to travel extensively, including occasional overnight stays.
* Confidence in transporting children in challenging situations.
* Full driving license.
