Job Description
We are seeking a Business Development Manager to create, manage, develop, and maintain a pipeline of new business opportunities to deliver profitable revenue growth for your division. The role involves managing day-to-day and strategic issues within the new business team, driving sales activities, and ensuring Biffa remains ahead of the competition in service offering, business model, and operations.
Your core responsibilities
* Proactively and reactively sell profitable new business within a territory to meet targets.
* Achieve and exceed quarterly and annual new business targets.
* Manage a sales territory and prospect lists for business opportunities.
* Report calls, leads, quotes, and contract activity using the company's system.
* Produce and present weekly, monthly, and quarterly performance reports.
* Coordinate with regional managers to determine sales strategies within the region.
* Act as the primary interface between Biffa and target customers.
* Handle sales prospecting and pricing negotiations.
* Generate a sales pipeline focused on new business.
* Demonstrate a proven track record in selling contracted services and consistently exceeding sales targets.
* Hold a full UK driving license.
