Overview
Applications are invited for an Oncology Kidney Cancer Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) to join our well-established nursing team. This full-time position has become available for a dynamic & motivated CNS to deliver specialist kidney cancer nursing to patients under the care of the specialist kidney cancer centre. The appointee will play a key role in delivering world class care for patients with metastatic kidney cancer, working with the existing clinical team to provide excellent clinical care and education.
Responsibilities
* Deliver specialist nursing care to patients with kidney cancers and benign disease throughout the patients surgical pathway.
* Provide advice, counselling and supportive care to patients and their families; ensure patients are fully diagnosed and counselled regarding treatment and delivery of ongoing care following treatment for localised disease, in conjunction with multi-disciplinary teams in acute care and in liaison with Primary Care providers.
* Collaborate with the Lead Nurse for Renal Cancer and the experienced CNS team to deliver expert nursing care and promote a positive work culture with high staff engagement and performance.
* Lead with high visibility and support delivery of the Trust values to improve patient experience.
* Liaise with all key members of the multi-disciplinary team and service users related to kidney cancer, including peers across the Trust, directorate management and external colleagues.
* Contribute to development of oncology nursing services, research, innovation and service improvement.
Qualifications and Experience
* Strong clinical background in Oncology or Urology nursing; experience working with cancer patients is desirable.
* Interest in Oncology kidney cancer nursing and ability to work with the multi-disciplinary team.
* Ability to work with the Lead Nurse for Renal Cancer and to deliver high-quality specialist nursing care.

* Eligibility to work in the United Kingdom or eligibility for sponsorship under the Skilled Worker visa route; visa sponsorship applications will be considered alongside all other applications.
