Overview
PCN General Practitioner role at NHS (Fenland PCN Ltd).
Working as an autonomous practitioner, rotating across PCN practices, responsible for the provision of medical services to the PCN practice population, delivering a high standard of clinical care while complying with the contract. The post holder will demonstrate critical thinking in clinical decision-making, prioritise and triage patient needs, institute appropriate investigations or referrals, and adhere to GMC standards for good medical practice. The role includes contributing to practice management, leading by example and maintaining collaborative working relationships with the multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities and Duties
* Delivery of highly effective medical care to the entitled population
* Provision of services commensurate with the primary care contract
* Generic prescribing adhering to local and national guidance
* Effective management of long-term conditions
* Processing of administration in a timely manner (referrals, repeat prescriptions, and other tasks)
* Maintain accurate clinical records in line with policy and guidance
* Work collaboratively and share the practice workload fairly
* Adhere to best practice from clinical guidelines and audits
* Contribute to continuous improvement and quality initiatives
* Ensure compliance with the appraisal process
* Support training of medical students from all clinical disciplines
* Support PCN recommendations to enhance income and manage expenditure
* Review and adhere to practice protocols and policies
* Promote collaborative working and regular liaison with staff
Qualifications & Requirements
* GMC registration as a General Practitioner
* Essential: The applicant must have been qualified for less than 2 years at appointment
* Essential: The applicant must not have previously worked within a GP Practice as a GP
* UK Registration: Applicants must have current UK professional registration
* Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check as required

Post holder must comply with all national, statutory, legislative, professional and local policy, contribute to local policy improvements, and operate within PCN standing financial instructions.
