This small reputable company is looking for a passionate Senior Town Planner to join their growing team, in York. Established for nearly 20 years, they operate across a wide range of sectors including Residential, Energy and Waste, and Industrial. Key aspects of their planning services include pre-planning, applications, and appeals.
The Role:
Responsibilities:
1. Preparing and submitting planning applications, appeals, and pre-application enquires for exciting projects.
2. Leading project teams, building relationships with new and existing clients, and identifying potential sites for development.
3. Undertaking regular community engagement, committee meetings, and public examinations.
4. Conducting research and undertaking planning appraisals to establish the development of potential of sites.
5. Writing high quality reports with recommendations.
6. Mentoring and guiding junior members of the team.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
7. Substantial planning experience, preferably within a consultancy environment.
8. Proven track record of delivering planning process services, including the preparation and submission of applications and appeals.
9. Chartered membership with the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI)
10. An RTPI accredited degree.
11. A full driving license.
12. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
