We are looking for a skilled Agricultural Engineer to join our team in Kelso. As a Service Engineer with Scot Agri you will visit a variety of customer sites throughout the area to carry out maintenance, repairs and services on our customers machines to a high standard. Operating across 14 strategically located depots, we provide machinery sales, servicing, and parts for leading brands including JCB, Massey Ferguson, Horsch, Spearhead, Berthoud, and more. Key duties and responsibilities: Repairing and maintaining machines on customers sites as required to ensure conformance with manufacturer’s specification Attending breakdowns and fault finding on machines Accurately completing all relevant paperwork daily Submitting daily timesheets and job cards Accurately ordering your parts and working closely with the parts department Working closely with the service supervisor Helping to train and mentor apprentice engineers Carrying out inspections and repairs of machines at our depot as required - in conformance with manufacturer’s specification and any regulations affecting their use Ensuring that there is no deficiency or defect likely to affect the safe working of a machine – and notifying appropriate manager of any defective or unsafe equipment The ideal candidate will have: Relevant qualifications e.g. City and Guild, NVQ or SVQ in Agricultural Plant / HGV / Light Vehicle etc (essential) Experience in agricultural plant, diesel engines, electrics, hydraulics, transmissions, and fault finding using electronic diagnostic equipment The ability to prioritise tasks and work well in a busy environment Great customer service skills and the ability to build rapport with our customers Good IT skills A flexible and positive outlook with an outgoing approach to work In return you will receive: Competitive salary reviewed yearly 39-hour basic working week and competitive overtime rates The opportunity to earn £1 more p/hour through our appraisal program Average holiday pay to reflect overtime worked 30 days annual leave, increasing with length of service up to a total of 35 days The option to buy/sell up to 5 days annual leave per year Company van which can be used for private use in line with HMRC guidance Laptop, phone, uniform and overalls Health and wellbeing plan - cashback for dentist, opticians, physio and more Employee Assistance Programme - free counselling and legal advice Access to high street discounts and savings through Perks Contributory pension scheme Life assurance of three times your annual salary Employee referral programme JCB and in-house training Please note we do not accept agency cv's from those not on our PSL.
