As a Maintenance Engineer, you’ll be responsible for ensuring production machinery runs smoothly through planned preventative maintenance (PPM), fault finding, and reactive repairs. You’ll work within a collaborative team that takes pride in keeping equipment operating at peak performance while maintaining a safe and efficient workplace. Key Responsibilities: Carry out planned preventative maintenance and repair across production machinery and plant equipment. Diagnose and resolve both mechanical and electrical issues promptly to minimise downtime. Fabricate and repair jigs, fixtures, and components to support production operations. Maintain building services including water, air, and electrical systems. Identify, source, and order replacement parts and materials as required. Ensure all work complies with health & safety regulations and company standards. Participate in continuous improvement projects and uphold excellent 5S housekeeping. Record maintenance activity accurately to support audits and compliance. About You: To be successful as a Maintenance Engineer, you’ll bring: City & Guilds in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent). NVQ in Electrical Installation (or similar). Proven experience as a Maintenance Engineer within a manufacturing or industrial environment. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work calmly under pressure. Experience with ProtoTRAK CNC mill controls and GE Fanuc series Oi CNC lathe controls (or similar). Knowledge of PLC systems and lean manufacturing principles. Excellent communication and organisational skills. A proactive, team-oriented attitude and willingness to help others. Why Join?
