Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Assistant Hospitality Manager to oversee front‑of‑house operations in a high‑volume environment. You will manage daily operations, maintain excellent customer service standards, develop and support your team, and ensure compliance with university policies, health & safety, licensing, and food safety regulations.
About You
You are an experienced front‑of‑house manager with strong leadership and team development skills. You are customer‑focused, highly organised, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment. You will also have:
* Proven experience delivering excellent customer service
* Ability to train, motivate, and manage staff effectively
* Knowledge of health & safety, licensing, and food safety regulations (HACCP)
* Experience with financial management, budgeting, and reporting
* Excellent organisational and communication skills
Flexibility is important and the role includes early morning, evening and weekend working on a 5 out of 7 days per week contract (36.5 hours per week). This role is offered on a full‑time (36.5 hours per week) permanent basis, and comes with a £1,000 New Starter bonus payable the month after successfully passing your six‑months probation. The bonus is pro‑rata for part‑time and FTC positions.
