JDR are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Team Leader to join a busy and fast-paced manufacturing environment within the Bagging Department. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with supervisory experience who is looking to progress and develop within a growing production business.
Shift Pattern
Week 1:
Monday - Thursday: 06:00 - 14:00
Friday: 06:00 - 12:00
Week 2:
Monday - Thursday: 14:00 - 22:00
Friday: 12:00 - 18:00
The Role
As Team Leader, you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the department, ensuring production targets and KPIs are achieved while maintaining high standards of safety, quality and efficiency.
Key responsibilities include:
* Operating and maintaining production lines
* Producing daily plans and organising team activities
* Driving continuous improvement and optimising machine running times
* Assisting with machine maintenance tasks
* Working closely with supervisory staff and production management
* Leading and motivating a team in a fast-paced environment
* Ordering materials and completing monthly stock takes
The Ideal Candidate
* Previous experience supervising or managing a team
* Machine operative experience (food manufacturing experience desirable)
* Technically minded with strong problem-solving skills
* Excellent communication and people skills
* Computer literate
* Strong work ethic, reliable and committed
* Flexible to meet departmental needs
* Able to work under pressure
