Light Commercial Vehicle Technician Required in Croydon
1. Salary: £19 per hour + overtime (Annual Salary: Approximately £39,520 based on standard hours)
2. Hours: Monday - Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM, with alternate Saturdays, 6:00 AM - 2:00 PM
Our client, a leading Commercial Vehicle Dealership, is experiencing continued success and growth. They are seeking a skilled Light Commercial Vehicle Technician to join their experienced team of Commercial Vehicle Mechanics at their Croydon location.
As a Light Commercial Vehicle Technician, you will be responsible for:
3. Delivering top-tier mechanical and electrical repairs, preventative maintenance, and modifications on customer vehicles and related equipment.
4. Ensuring a safe working environment for all colleagues and individuals within the workshop.
5. Collaborating effectively to foster strong employee and customer relationships, helping the workshop meet its goals and targets.
6. Executing thorough preventative maintenance and repair tasks to high standards.
7. Accurately diagnosing faults to ensure correct fitting of replacement parts and compliance with warranty terms.
8. Handling enquiries professionally, completing job cards and service sheets promptly.
9. Performing diagnostic analysis as needed.
The ideal LCV Technician will have:
10. Experience working on Light Commercial Vehicles in a commercial dealer environment.
11. Practical knowledge of using information technology and systems to meet objectives.
12. A safety-focused attitude with a commitment to achieving the right result the first time.
13. Experience in a fast-paced, customer-oriented environment with a flexible approach to customer needs.
14. Enthusiasm, initiative, and a consistent ‘can do’ attitude.
15. Strong teamwork skills and the ability to develop good relationships with colleagues.
16. Commercial awareness and an understanding of a busy workshop environment.
17. An HGV Class 1 license (preferred but not essential) or NVQ level 3 (essential).
