Main duties of the job
Senior Care Assistant — You will support and work alongside the Care team to deliver high standards of personal care, providing a safe, caring, innovative, open, supportive, and inclusive environment for residents, visitors, and staff. Your duties include monitoring residents' wellbeing, contributing to person-centred care planning, supporting residents with medication requirements, and acting as a key contact for residents, their relatives, and healthcare professionals.
About the role
Your focus as a Senior Care Assistant is to support and collaborate with the Care team to deliver high standards of personal care, ensuring a safe, caring, and inclusive environment for residents, visitors, and staff. Other responsibilities include:
* Monitoring the wellbeing of each resident, noting changes that impact care and care plans, updating records to reflect new needs.
* Involvement in the person-centred care planning process, including implementing, monitoring, and conducting monthly evaluations.
* Supporting residents with their medication requirements.
* Undertaking staff supervisions and supporting staff development where required.
* Acting as a key point of contact for residents, relatives, visitors, and health and social care professionals; ensuring reasonable requests are acted upon and concerns or complaints escalated.
About you

* Have an NVQ 3 or equivalent in care for care homes.
* Have 2 years of experience in a similar care environment.
* Be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
* Have a positive attitude toward supporting and nurturing residents and staff.
* Be responsive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities.

Requirements

* A DBS Disclosure check, the cost of which will be met by Avery Healthcare.
* Proof of eligibility to work in the UK.
