SEN Teacher
Secondary SEN School, Burnley
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Teacher to join our welcoming and supportive team at a secondary SEN school in Burnley. This is a full-time position (Monday to Friday), covering a long-term sickness absence.
Our school provides a nurturing, inclusive environment for pupils aged 11–16 with a range of special educational needs, including moderate learning difficulties (MLD), autism spectrum condition (ASC), social, emotional and mental health needs (SEMH), and communication and interaction difficulties. We are committed to ensuring every pupil reaches their full potential—academically, socially and emotionally—through a personalised approach to teaching and learning.
The successful candidate will deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual needs, working closely with experienced teaching assistants, therapists and pastoral staff. You will help pupils develop their confidence, independence and life skills, while promoting positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing.
Requirements:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
* Experience working with students with special educational needs
* Strong classroom management and communication skills
* A caring, flexible and resilient approach to teaching
Pay: Dependent on skills and experience

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
