Team Leader
* Location: Norwich
* Job Type: Full-time
We are seeking a dedicated Team Leader to oversee and enhance the operational efficiency and quality of services provided to young people in our care. This role is pivotal in ensuring that all staff adhere to our high standards and that our young people receive the best possible support.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
* Attend various meetings including staff, house, office, and management meetings to ensure cohesive team operations.
* Oversee the preparation and timely submission of all types of reports to management.
* Ensure all documentation related to young people (YP) is accurately filed and maintained.
* Conduct regular checks on digital and physical files to ensure proper organization and storage.
* Supervise staff to ensure adherence to the young person's care plans and organizational policies.
* Regularly perform supervisory duties including staff appraisals and overseeing the day-to-day operations.
* Conduct regular visits to young people’s accommodations to ensure their satisfaction and safety.
* Manage and respond to emergency situations as part of the organization's out-of-hours service.
* Organize events and activities for young people, enhancing their social and personal development.
* Ensure compliance with Health and Safety policies and conduct regular safety checks.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Proven experience in a leadership role within a similar setting.
* Strong report writing and IT skills.
* Knowledge of the Children Act 1989 and the Leaving Care Act 2000.
* Understanding of safeguarding principles and commitment to ethical practices.
* Ability to effectively delegate tasks and manage a team.
* Excellent organizational and communication skills, capable of liaising with various stakeholders including social services and community agencies.
