Role
* Keep automation assets performing at their best through preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance.
* Drive continuous improvement projects from concept to implementation.
* Collaborate with the Engineering Manager and team leaders, completing reports and logging faults.
* Diagnose and resolve automation breakdowns quickly to keep operations flowing.
* Monitor performance and work with stakeholders to boost output.
Qualifications
* Experienced multi‑skilled engineer, qualified in electrical and mechanical engineering (minimum ONC Electrical Engineering / NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
* Willing to work towards obtaining City and Guilds 2391 & 2392 testing and inspection certification.
* Experienced in maintaining automation equipment, ideally with PLC knowledge.
* Strong understanding of Health & Safety legislation.
* Proactive team player who can also work independently.
* Full UK manual driving licence (for occasional travel to other sites).
Benefits
* Salary: £53,195 per annum plus night shift allowance.
* Weekend supplement: £53.14 per Saturday attendance, £106.28 per Sunday attendance.
* 22.5 days annual leave with bank holidays.
* Defined contribution pension scheme.
* Permanent contract, full‑time (40 hours per week) with shift attendance.
Shift Pattern
Day shifts: 07:00–15:00, Monday to Friday for up to four weeks before moving onto shifts.
Typical shift pattern:
* Week off.
* Nights – 18:00 – 06:00, Monday – Thursday.
* Days – 06:00 – 18:00, Monday – Wednesday; Nights – 18:00 – 06:00, Friday to Sunday.
* Days – 06:00 – 18:00, Thursday – Sunday.
