Description Wincanton are looking for 10 x Class 2 Drivers. With a Drivers mate to assist with the lifting and shifting of items, together you will deliver IKEA furniture to customers. Customer service will be at the heart of this role, delivering both the furniture and the best possible customer experience. Unrivalled salary - £46,803.12 per annum 5 days on, 3 days off – 8-week rota – Start times 5am/6am 28 days holiday What will you be doing as a Class 2 Driver? Driving a Class 2 Vehicle in a safe manner, complying with all road traffic, and vehicle legislation Working as a 2-person delivery team, delivering furniture products into a room of choice at customers' homes Completion of tachographs in line with legislation and company policies Performing vehicle checks at the beginning and end of each journey and reporting all defects Ensuring the vehicle and stock are properly always secured Always providing a first-class customer service experience Relevant skills and experience as a Class 2 Driver: This is a physically demanding role including lifting and shifting – essential that you are physically able to lift items Valid Class 2 License Valid Digital Tachograph card Full Driver Qualification card (Driver CPC) A general understanding of driver's hours legislation and working time directive No more than 6 points on driving license Excellent communication and customer service skills are essential Time management skills and comfortable in working to deadlines DBS security check will be completed on the successful candidate Our Culture & Benefits In addition to generous remuneration, we really value our people and offer a friendly, safety-first working environment, along with other benefits including company pension scheme, generous holidays, cycle to work scheme, employee benefits include, online discount platform, onsite parking and much more.
