An established UK law firm is seeking a Solicitor (2–4 years’ PQE) or Associate (4+ years’ PQE) to join its highly regarded Private Client team in Edinburgh. The firm is known for delivering tailored legal solutions to a diverse domestic and international client base and for fostering a collaborative, inclusive working environment.
This role offers the opportunity to work within a leading private client practice, advising on a wide range of matters including wills, powers of attorney, executries, trusts, estate planning, and cross‑border issues. You will collaborate closely with colleagues across tax, family, corporate, litigation and real estate teams, and will play an active role in business development and client relationship management.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Draft wills and powers of attorney
2. Manage trust and executry administration
3. Advise on estate planning, including trusts and family investment companies
4. Support clients following personal injury claims, including establishing and administering personal injury trusts
5. Assist with tax planning advice for a wide range of clients, including high‑net‑worth individuals
6. Advise on adults with incapacity matters, including guardianship applications
7. Provide guidance on cross‑border tax and succession issues
8. Lead client relationships with appropriate internal support
9. Supervise and support trainees and paralegals within the team
10. Deliver internal training and contribute to colleague development
11. Engage in business development aligned with team strategy
12. Manage workload effectively, ensuring high‑quality work and compliance with relevant policies
